Senator Oluremi Tinubu Advocates Love For Country In Meeting With Turkish Ambassador

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has encouraged Nigerians to foster love for their country and to believe in themselves.

She made these remarks while receiving the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Nigeria, Hidayet Bayraktar, at her office in the State House, Abuja.

“We have yet to fully explore the potential of our country. God has blessed us abundantly,” Senator Tinubu stated. “I understand that Turkey seeks to support Nigeria and the entire African continent, and for that, we are grateful.”

“We anticipate the moment when Nigeria will assume its rightful place among the nations of the world, and that day is not far off,” she added.

Earlier in the meeting, Ambassador Hidayet Bayraktar expressed Turkish nationals’ desire for increased collaboration with Nigeria, particularly in security, energy, construction, and leveraging entertainment to promote culture and health.

“We aspire to establish a Turkish hospital here, which would contribute to reducing medical tourism,” the Ambassador remarked. “It’s essential for people to familiarize themselves with Nigeria and its rich culture through the film industry.”

Ambassador Bayraktar also conveyed the enthusiasm of the First Lady of Turkey to attend the forthcoming Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) Nigeria’s campaign launch titled #WeAreEqual, scheduled for Monday, May 13, 2024.”
