“The task of getting the nation fully back on track is a collective responsibility,” opined Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at an Iftar she hosted at the State House in Abuja.
She expressed optimism about the nation’s future, stating, “Mr. President will do all it takes to make the nation better, so that even when we leave here, we will return to a better Nigeria.”
She emphasized, “We all have tasks to do to get this nation back on track.” Senator Oluremi Tinubu noted that the various programs initiated by the President are progressing well, with visible results emerging.
Earlier, the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, urged all women to support each other, echoing the sentiment of collective responsibility in governance.
She encouraged women to include the nation in their prayers, especially during the last 10 days of Ramadan.
The guest lecturer, Professor Rafatu ABDUL’Hammed of the University of Abuja, advised women to maintain the lessons learned during Ramadan, emphasizing that living with love, piety, humility, and tolerance would improve the lives of Nigerians.
Prayers were offered for the nation, the President, and the world.
Attendees included former First Ladies of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, female justices, governors’ wives, female ministers, ministers’ wives, and wives of service chiefs.
