The councilor representing Ward C2, Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Adenekan is set to partner with an entertainment cum youth development organisation, Gold Plug Entertainment to launch Hood Block Party.
The aim of the initiative is to build a large number of youths connecting and educating programmes through fun yearly in every communities (Wards) till it gets to other local government within the state.
The CEO, Gold Plug Entertainment, Mr Olorunfunmi Remi said that the educative and entertaining program will create more opportunities for youths to communicate, network and share business ideas among themselves in their different communities.
He stated further that it will provide an avenue to eradicate the carnival like parties that holds in the community, thereby give leverage to Hood Block Party across the nooks and crannies of the state.
Hon. Ibrahim Adenekan described the initiative as welcome development and good idea to engage the youths and spot talents among them in the process.
He said “We all know entertainment is a huge thing in this country right now and this is one of the ways we can harness our strength towards getting the best out of our youths”.
He stated further that there are lots of talents wasting away but with the introduction of Hood Block Party that will be launched in different communities (wards) and local governments, more opportunities will be provided for the youths.
“I adore and support this idea and I’m giving it my full support as we embark on promoting and sustaining the tempo. When the youths gets their vision clear from cradle, there is assurance that crimes will reduce in all spheres,” he concluded.
