A Veteran Photographer, Mr Dayo Adedayo has said that work is nearing completion on the Gallery where young inspired Nigerians would be trained on all about photography.
He said that the Gallery located in Lekki which will serve as a hub for Photographers in the country would have experts from abroad as some of its instructors.
Mr Adedayo disclosed this in an exclusive Interview at the ongoing Greater Lagos Exhibition at the J Randle Centre for Yoruba & History, Onikan in Lagos.
He said the six-day exhibition was to showcase 128 iconic pictures from projects executed during the first four years in office of the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu.
Adedayo explained that there was the need for people to know if the Governor has kept his Electioneering promises during the first term as he begins another four years in office.
Pictures doesn’t lie, the whole idea is just to let the people know if indeed the administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu has touched lives of residents in different ways and different sectors. The pictures you see on display tell a lot of story.” End of quote.
Mr Adedayo further said that the pictures covered giant strides in Health, Education, Housing, Security, Transportation, Agriculture and other sectors.
According to him, the inspiration to put up the exhibition came from the passion and commitments displayed by the Sanwoolu led Administration in the state towards providing social amenities that will make life worthy for the people.
He believe that one of his greatest ambition in life would be fulfilled when his Academy produced Photographers that can compete favorably with colleagues in the world.
When asked to put a price to the pictures, Adedayo said it will be difficult to do such for creative works noting that it is usually a challenge to name a price for someone’s brain.
The Veteran Photographer who has worked closely with the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for close to three decades noted that education, diligence and professionalism must be the watchword of anyone who wish to become successful in the trade.
