A pro-democracy organization, Speak Out 24/7 has lauded Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State for coasting home on a high performance that earned him distinction in assessment saying, “he has convince the populace that he merited the title of Incident Commander he is honoured with.”
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Lead Campaigner and its Publicity Secretary, Comrades Razaq Olokoba and Adekunle Adeosun respectively on Tuesday to celebrate the successful completion of the governor’s first term in office, saying, “we are however anxiously waiting to savour the promised better performance in his second term starting on May 29, 2023.”
The statement, while thanking the good people of Lagos for their belief in Sanwo-Olu, which they exhibited on March 28 at the poll urged them to still keep the faith with him with the assurance that, “he will not disappoint because he is a man who walks his talk, saying “since he has assured us of a better second term in office, Sanwo-Olu’s words can be taken to the bank and be honoured.”
According to the statement, Sanwo-Olu’s team, from his Deputy, Babafemi Hamzat to the last member also deserve accolade for being a fantastic men and women of dignity and integrity whose loyalty and faithfulness is not in doubt and so made the success story of their boss a collective, believing that the second term will bring the best out of whoever scales through to the next term with the governor.
The organization through the statement signed by their representative also tasked the governor to see his second term well deserved golden opportunity as a clarion call to double his performance index to convince all the doubting Thomas that his first term achievement was not a fluke, enthusing that, “the populace could not wait to start witnessing more magic from his kitty.”
The electorate, the statement restated have played their part by trooping out en masse to give their mandate to the governor for another term in office and so would want to sit back to savour the joy of further robust governance that would increase dividends of democracy towards their door steps, warning that, those who sacrificed their time and resources to vote on March 8, would not be prepared for excuses but outstanding performance.
“the joy of the whole scenario now lies in the open fact that, Sanwo-Olu is back on the familiar track where the language is continuity,” the statement pointed out, thanking God however for granting the people the wisdom to re-elect Sanwo-Olu and not any other political kindergartens that could have messed up the already packaged achievement chains.
The people of the state were therefore urged to continue their support for the governor to enable him feel loved, supported and wanted, concluding that, “all the above are ingredients of encouragement and tonic to perform.
