The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), will on Thursday, May 25, confer the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, with the National Honours of GCFR and GCON respectively.
This was made known by the Special Assistant to President on Digital & New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, on his Twitter page on Thursday.
He said “BREAKING: On Thursday May 25, 2023, President-Elect #officialABAT
and Vice President-Elect #KashimSM will be conferred with the National Honours of GCFR and GCON respectively, by President #MBuhari
“Also on that day, Thursday May 25, 2023, there will be an official handover of Transition Documents to the incoming Administration. This is going to be the most organised & seamless Presidential Transition in the history of Nigeria, enabled by Executive Order 14 signed by PMB.
“On Saturday, May 27, 2023, there will be an Inaugural Lecture by HE Uhuru Kenyatta, former President of Kenya.”
