Lagos Arewa Community Reaffirms Total Support To Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat Re-election Bid

As the governorship and state houses of Assembly elections slated for March 11th 2023, closes in, Arewa Community Lagos State has true to type,  re-affirmed total allegiance and support to the Sanwo-Hamzat ticket, assuring to replicate and improve on the community’s huge votes delivery during the February 25th elections to the APC, to ensure total victory for all the party’s  candidates come Saturday, the election day.

The assurances were delivered on behalf of the Arewa community by two prominent custodians of the Northern tradition in Lagos, namely HRH Alhaji Hassan Auyo, the Sarkin Hausawa of Idi-Araba in Mushin and HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, the Sarki overall of Alimosho, in two separate strategic meetings with the Lagos state deputy governor, Dr. Obafemi Kadiri Hamzat and the honorable commissioner, ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, Lagos state, Pharm. Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf.

Giving his remark at the meeting held on Wednesday, March 1st 2023 at the deputy governor’s conference room 1, the Sarkin Hausawa of Idi-Araba, Alhaji Hassan Auyo, stated unequivocally that, the Arewa community, came out in their numbers to vote overwhelmingly for the APC in the presidential polls and will proudly replicate the action with higher vigour on Saturday, March 11, 2023, maintaining that, re-electing governor Sanwoolu and other APC candidates in the house of assembly contests is the surest bet for better times ahead, thus, we are going back to our respective communities across the state to get our people ready for greater block votes for Sanwo-Hamzat and all APC candidates in shaa Allahu, Sarki Auyo has said.

In the same vein, the Sarki overall of Alimosho, Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, during  the visit of Pharm. Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf, the honorable commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism to his palace on Sunday, March 5th, restated the sanctity of Arewa community votes for the APC as was demonstrated during the national polls, adding that, Lagos plays home to every Nigerian and our community is not an exception; we enjoy a very rich and cordial fellowship with the Lagos state government at all levels and our resolve is to always play the role of a partner in progress.


We are already doing our homework to ensure our people improve on and deliver landslide votes to the APC come Saturday, march 11th in shaa Allah, concluded the royal symbol.

The Lagos state deputy governor, Dr. Obafemi Kadiri Hamzat, during his remark at the meeting, thanked the Arewa community Lagos state for their support to the APC and further charged them to do more in the coming governorship and house of assembly polls.

Honorable commissioner, Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf, emphasized the need to guard against voiding our all important votes; she went ahead to demonstrate how best to cast the vote using the tip of the index finger.
