Ekiti 2026: The Symbolic Submission of Governor Oyebanji vs. the Envy-Laden Submission by the Atiku of Ekiti

It is unfortunate that most people don’t appreciate their God given body. The effort they make to fit into the so called societal norm. People have often questioned the justification for undergoing surgery to alter appearance rather than to cure infirmity. According to Scientists Surgery is a medical treatment which involves cutting open a person’s body in order to repair or remove a diseased or damaged part. Many studies have failed to demonstrate the safety and long-term efficacy of certain cosmetic surgery procedures. There are additional risks in surgeries of long duration and in multiple surgeries that they fail to know that it does not last forever. Why spend so much on something that won’t last forever,? Why go through something that will cost you so much pains?
There are so many risk attached to surgery that they all failed to know.
But here, reverse is the case. Nigerian celebrities see it as child’s play and undergo series of cuts just to make themselves look more attractive to their opposite gender.  Here in Nigeria, having a big butt and boobs  is believed to get you to places faster.  A lot of female celebrities have undergone through this process and The annoying part is after the BBL they sell different enhancement products to their gullible fans as what they used to achieve the figure.
As at last year, a lady’s video went viral, the video was showing a pretty lady who did breast surgery. Unfortunately, the operation failed which led her to having one breast. Come to think of it, people who saw the video are suppose to learn from her mistake but Nigerians youth will never learn from it. They will make sure they undergo surgery either the facial surgery, breast surgery or the hip surgery. Stella Obasanjo died from complications of cosmetic surgery few weeks before her 60th birthday at a private health clinic in Puerto Banús, Marbella, Spain, on 23 October 2005..The story went viral in Nigeria and a lot of celebrities condemned her actions , nevertheless that didn’t teach them a lesson as most of them still went under the knife for different surgery procedures. A tiktoker named mary died last year after complications of plastic surgery which led to excessive bleeding that led to her death after spending millions of  Naira.. Only God knows where they get their  moneys from!. They all see this and yet turned deaf ears and blinded from seeing this.. There are various reasons why Nigerian celebrities undergo plastic surgery. to boost self esteem ,Increase popularity ,to look younger, to oppress their fellow gender and so on. Yet they forget it won’t last forever knowing the side effects that plastic surgery could cause infections, loss of excess blood, nerves damages they know the common and still do it.
Are they trying to say God’s work is not complete in their lives?
Instead of undergoing a surgery, why can’t they can’t create a human with what that have been craving for?
It’s tricky to say ‘never,’ but I will never have plastic surgery.”
