The Councillor representing Ward C2, Ifako Ijaiye local government, Lagos State has urged residents of his ward and Nigerians at large to ensure they engage themselves in the use of positive thinking in changing their minds as this will go a long way in improving their lifes as Nigeria celebrate 61 years today.
He said positive thinking is considered the best gift one can give to himself as it is an easiest way to ensure a stress-free life and help someone to realize ones potential.
He stated futher that Nigerians should expand their horizons as positive mindset prompts them to attempt newer things and thus helps in developing new skills.
It is, therefore, important to once again remind us all that as Nigeria clocks 61 today, we should all reorientate ourselves and reason together as Nigerians and not as Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba; not as Northerners or Southerners, Muslims or Christians”, he added.
He stressed that positive thinking helps in raising ones cognitive ability, creative thinking, and faster processing of information as it also widens the attention span and adopts an inclusive approach.
This when put into practice will definitely enables everyone’s ability to think and enhances our problem-solving capabilities he stated.
The Chairman, house committee on works, infrastructure and business rules also stated that “though everything is not that rossy at present but Nigerians should be resilient and believe at all times”.
He therefore urged the youths to shun any form of cultism or fraud but engage in positive thinking as it reduces anxiety disorders, stress and depression and in turn increases constructive approach to issues.
