The disturbing video surfaced online on January 8, prompting swift action by the Family Support Unit (FSU) of the Ikorodu Police Division.

The suspect was arrested on the same day and transferred to the Gender Unit at the Command Headquarters after initial investigations.

The victim has since been taken to a medical facility for proper care.

During the court proceedings, Nwadigbo pleaded not guilty to the charges. Chief Magistrate O. Kushanu granted her bail in the sum of ₦200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

However, she has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Facility pending the continuation of her trial on February 18, 2025.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, praised members of the public for their vigilance in reporting the incident and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents and visitors in the state.

He urged citizens to remain proactive in bringing such incidents to the attention of law enforcement authorities.
