“What one person rejects as lunacy, another reveres as truth,” were the exact words of Mr. Olumide Aremu when he spoke with one of our reporters in his office. Olumide has alleged that his wife, currently on a short visit outside the country is involved in a bisexual relationship based on some reports from the police and the community looking for her .
In his statement, he said, “Sometime around 2016, I met a young lady named Omowunmi Ajewole, whom I believed to be well-cultured and intelligent, at church. I felt fortunate to have met her, but it later turned out that I married someone with a dual identity (both male and female in one body). I discovered this three years into our relationship, but I doubted myself despite clear signs, keeping it to myself.”
“Meanwhile, my siblings and family never approved of our relationship from the start, but I insisted that it was either Omowunmi or nobody. My family had no choice but to accept my decision. It was my youngest sibling who first alerted me to her sexual orientation after having the opportunity to go through my wife’s phone with her consent.”
“Since then, our home hasn’t been the same, but she keeps denying it until I discovered the truth myself. Then, I concluded that I had married someone deceptive. I have reported this to our families; in fact, her family was disturbed and upset when I confronted them with clear evidence. As I speak to you, I still cannot believe my eyes seeing someone I called my wife kissing another woman nakedly.”
“On this matter, I will ensure that her deceit is exposed; this behavior is not in line with Christian principles. How do we explain this to our children? It’s shameful,” he concluded.
