In response to widespread concerns and circulating narratives surrounding the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation has issued a statement affirming the Nigerian government’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

Acknowledging the public’s unease regarding alleged fund payments into a private account by the Ministry, Idris assures citizens that the government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, takes these matters seriously.

Emphasizing transparency, the government aims to ensure that public funds are allocated and utilized effectively to address the needs of Nigerians.

In a decisive move, President Tinubu has directed a comprehensive investigation to verify the accuracy and validity of the reported details.

The government is unwavering in its determination to uncover the truth and promises appropriate action against any identified breaches or infractions, aligning with its commitment to public accountability and due process.

Idris underscores the Ministry of Information and National Orientation as the primary source for verified information about the Federal Government’s events and actions.

“Only accurate details will be shared with the public, and the Ministry pledges to provide timely updates on the progress of the investigation.

“While various unverified narratives circulate on the Internet, the public is urged to exercise patience as the investigation unfolds.

“The government is focused on ensuring a fair and unbiased process, with a commitment to communicating the findings transparently to the public,” he averred.

As Nigeria awaits the outcome of this inquiry, the government’s resolute stance on accountability and transparency remains at the forefront, reaffirming its dedication to serving the nation’s best interests.
