It seems the end is here! It seems the world is coming to an end in Nigeria, Nigeria is in shambles!! The state of the country continues to deteriorate.
To start with, the issue on the new naira note and the old note being in circulation seems to be frustrating the efforts of the average person in the society whereas some celebrities were seen in a viral video, making mesh of the new note. Commercial banks is not paying cash over the counter nor is the ATM dispensing enough cash to the masses; off recent, the Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Governor El Rufai made mention that a certain Governor collected 500 million naira new note from the bank, yet ordinary citizens are fighting and putting up to drama to get just little cash; videos has captured how full grown men and women almost stripe themselves off their clothes in the bank in other to get cash.
Also, Never has it been heard that Naira is been bought with Naira, It seems that after CBN called for all the old notes, It failed to produce new notes to replace the old ones and this has thrown the country off it balance, citizens finds it very difficult to get cash for their day to day activity. POS agents now charge exorbitant fees to give cash, they charge 20% of every cash given, indeed the masses are suffering!
Furthermore, the lackadaisical attitude of the government in all sectors is alarming, from education to transportation to basic amenities that the government ought to provide for its citizens. The scarcity of petroleum in the country has done a whole lot of damage. A country that is richly blessed with oil and gas, yet her citizens find it hard to purchase; A litre of fuel is being sold at the rate of 400 naira, indeed, the government failed her citizens. In the same vein, the cost of transportation has skyrocketed due to the hike in the price of petroleum. Currently, the citizens have to deal with fuel scarcity and the low circulation of the naira note, and it seems like the government kept mum to all this ordeal. It has been 8 years of suffering, the current government could not keep up to its manifesto, it has been from one issue to another that always makes its citizens run from pillar to post.
To sum it up, many persons having lost hope in the government resulted to seek for means of livelihood from another country and are ready to undergo any danger in other to leave the shores of Nigeria; recently a vessel that left Nigeria for Spain, three Nigerians were spotted beneath the vessel, they endangered their lives to seek for greener pastures out of the shores of Nigeria, this is just to mention but a few instances. The Nigerian government has failed her citizens!
