In the wake of current security challenges in the country, Arewa community residents of Shasha kingdom in Alimosho local government, Lagos state, today, Sunday, 28 August, 2022, held a long shot prayer, seeking divine intervention over the unsettling security breaches plaguing Nigeria.
The prayer which was organized within the Hajj Camp, took off at exactly 12 o’clock noon, with group recitation of the entire holy Qur’an, after which, fervent supplications for peace and harmony were offered for the hosting community, Shasha, Alimosho local government, Lagos state, the nineteen northern states of Nigeria and the country at large.
The event as expected was greeted by a large turnout of people amongst whom were notable leaders of the Arewa community in the LGA, including the sarkin Hausawa of Shasha kingdom, Mallam Iliyasu Isah Kira, Ibrahim A Jagaba, the SSA on information to the Alimosho local government, executive chairman, honorable Jelil Sulaiman and Ahmed Tijjani Sulaiman, the national, general secretary of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), amongst other opinion leaders and the general public.
The Nigerian armed forces and all other sister security and intelligence agencies, including the Nigerian army, the Nigeria Police Force, were supported with prayers as they continue to wrest sundry security breaches in their respective jurisdictions.
The prayer session was climaxed and terminated with prayers for all participants, just as the Sarkin Hausawa of Shasha land, called on the entire Arewa community in shasha and the country to sustain calls on God for improved peace in the country.
