In the aftermath of the recent hunger protests, I feel compelled to commend Nigerians for the way they conducted themselves. It was a powerful reminder that we can raise our voices and be heard while maintaining peace in our communities.
Kudos to Nigerians, and kudos to Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Thank you for addressing the nation’s concerns with empathy and a keen understanding of the struggles we are facing.
Your response was timely and deeply empathetic, showing that you are in touch with the realities on the ground.
Your words—“My dear Nigerians, especially our youth, I have heard you loud and clear. I understand the pain and frustration that drive these protests, and I want to assure you that our government is committed to listening and addressing the concerns of our citizens”—struck a chord with me.
This speech should inspire us all to pause and reflect. The message has been delivered and received. Asiwaju has shown his willingness to listen, connect with the nation, and address our concerns. At this point, continuing the protests would be counterproductive and might even suggest ulterior motives.
Now, we have an opportunity to move forward together. Let’s seize this moment to work with him in finding solutions to our challenges, rather than staying stuck in protest mode.
He has extended an olive branch—let’s take it and focus on building a better Nigeria.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will succeed.
