The Office of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has issued a statement refuting claims circulating on social media and certain news outlets that she is organizing a National Prayer event.
According to the First Lady’s office, these reports are “unfounded and misleading,” and the public is encouraged to disregard any such information.
Her Excellency emphasized that while she is a committed Christian and advocate for prayer, she has not planned or initiated any such event.
In her statement, Senator Tinubu affirmed that prayer is a personal act of faith and should be undertaken willingly and conscientiously.
She added that the responsibility of praying for Nigeria lies with all citizens, regardless of religious beliefs, political affiliations, ethnicity, or language.
The Office of the First Lady advised members of the public to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information regarding the First Lady or her activities.
