Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has debunked the allegation that he and some others within the\u00a0All Progressives Congress in Lagos State are plotting against the second term ambition of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.<\/p>\n
A factional Chairman of the party in the state, Mr. Fouad Oki, had earlier alleged that Aregbesola and the lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Bayo Oshinowo, are the ones spearheading the plot against the governor.<\/p>\n
Aregbesola, when contacted, described\u00a0 Oki\u2019s claims as a totally ridiculous one, while debunking the allegation of plotting to scuttle\u00a0 Ambode\u2019s second term plan.<\/p>\n
The Osun State Governor, who spoke through his\u00a0 media aide, Mr. Sola Fasure, accused\u00a0 Oki of making a frantic effort to cause crisis in the party where he said none existed.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cThat is a totally ridiculous claim. Oki and his cohorts are drowning politicians, who are just clinging to straws. Their treachery is well known and they are trying to create crisis where there is none.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe two governors belong to the same political party under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. The pedigree of our governor in Osun is well known and he said it recently that he is the only politician, who is at home in Lagos and also in Osun.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis pedigree in the politics of Lagos is not in doubt. What Oki said can only be a figment of his own imagination and nothing more. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Governor Ambode belong to the same political\u00a0 family under the leadership of Asiwaju so, is he now saying that Asiwaju is trying to stop Asiwaju.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no way Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola will try to overthrow Governor Akinwumi Ambode in Lagos. He said it at the last Ogbeni Till Day Break that he would be firmly here in Osun after the expiration of his tenure.<\/p>\n
