{"id":9848,"date":"2022-08-07T15:21:51","date_gmt":"2022-08-07T15:21:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=9848"},"modified":"2022-08-07T15:21:51","modified_gmt":"2022-08-07T15:21:51","slug":"trans-border-drug-dealer-pastor-arrested-with-three-drums-of-crystal-methamphetamine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=9848","title":{"rendered":"Trans-border Drug Dealer Pastor Arrested With Three Drums Of Crystal Methamphetamine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">A trans-border drug dealer, Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, with three drums of crystal methamphetamine, locally called Mkpuru Mmiri, believed to have been imported from India.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-9849\" src=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/974D0298-23E1-45D6-9490-459EE94CB911-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/974D0298-23E1-45D6-9490-459EE94CB911-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/974D0298-23E1-45D6-9490-459EE94CB911.jpeg 720w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This was contained in a statement by Femi Babafemi, Director, Media &amp; Advocacy<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">NDLEA Headquarters, Abuja on Sunday 7th August 2022. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The consignment weighing 90 kilograms and loaded into a commercial bus with registration number RSH 691XC at Ojuelegba in Lagos was intercepted during a stop and search operation along Umuahia &#8211; Ikot Ekpene highway on Saturday 6th August 2022. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The dangerous drug packed 30kg in each drum was meant for the 47year-old Pastor who was arrested in a follow up operation at Oron beach in Oron. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The recovered Meth drums were meant for onward delivery to the Republic of Cameroon. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This comes on the heels of four seizures of the same illicit substance weighing 4.074kg going to Australia, Indonesia and Philippines with a 3kg cannabis sativa heading to Dubai, United Arab Emirates at some courier companies in Lagos. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The consignments were concealed in body cream, hot burner iron and beads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Chairman\/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig. Gen.
