The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and the former Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, on Saturday met with Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, in Port Harcourt on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The closed-door meeting held at Wike\u2019s private residence at his country home in Rumueprikom in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.<\/span><\/p>\n The visit of the duo is coming barely 24 hours after Wike broke his silence since the People Democratic Party presidential primary where former Vice President, Atiku Abubarkar emerged as the party\u2019s candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Dogara hinged their visit on the quest and search to build an all-inclusive Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEveryone agrees with us that Governor Wike is one of those indispensable political leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFor us, it is a search to build an all- inclusive Nigeria. So we feel that as part of the agenda setting we should meet with him and that is the reason why we are here.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAnd for the rest, whatever it is, maybe in the future we can discuss that,\u201d he stated.<\/span><\/p>\n On his part, the former SGF, Lawal, said their mission was a brotherly visit to the Rivers State governor.<\/span><\/p>\n He said, \u201cWe came to visit our brother. He (Wike) is our brother. So, every now and then, the Bible enjoins you to visit one another.
