{"id":9522,"date":"2022-07-17T15:23:26","date_gmt":"2022-07-17T15:23:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=9522"},"modified":"2022-07-17T15:23:26","modified_gmt":"2022-07-17T15:23:26","slug":"why-aregbesola-shunned-osun-election-aide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=9522","title":{"rendered":"Why Aregbesola Shunned Osun Election -Aide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola did not partake in the Osun State Governorship election.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It was learnt that the former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has travelled abroad to attend a conference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to an aide of the minister, Aregbesola shunned the election to avoid a crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It was learnt that the minister was in Lagos State on Thursday before travelling to Abuja on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When contacted, Aregbesola\u2019s media adviser, Sola Fasure, confirmed the minister\u2019s absence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cHe proceeded on an official assignment on Friday,\u201d Fasure said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The media aide noted that Aregbesola was not invited to work for Oyetola\u2019s second-term bid in Osun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He also said the minister was not named in the Osun State campaign team by the All Progressives Congress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He said, \u201cAregbesola is not in Oshogbo. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He is on an official assignment. He was not invited and not a part of the election council.
