It&#8217;s fake news.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Just like in other Southern States, Lagos operatea the Criminal Code which streamlines it to the establishment of Customary courts, not Sharia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Northern states operate the Penal code which gives opportunity for the creation of Sharia courts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The above explanation, therefore, shows a reason why Lagos cannot pass a Sharia law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Again, there is no law that has been passed by the House of Assembly that is not made public or documented in the official website of the House.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Passing a law in the Lagos Assembly follows a well-designed process that takes weeks or months to accomplish. There MUST be a public hearing\/stakeholders&#8217; meeting on every bill being prepared for passage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The House also has 30 journalists covering its activities.
