Nigerian female singers, Omawumi and Waje, joined other celebrities to thrill fans at a political concert held in Lagos on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The event tagged, \u2018Youth Vote Count 2.0 Mega concert\u2019, is geared toward creating awareness of the need for youths to register and vote in the forthcoming 2023 general election.<\/span><\/p>\n The concert attracted a mammoth crowd which assembled at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.<\/span><\/p>\n Organisers of the event include the Independent National Electoral Commission, Yiaga Africa, and the European Union.<\/span><\/p>\n A video of Waje\u2019s performance at the event was shared on Twitter via the INEC official page.<\/span><\/p>\n The video was captioned, \u201c@OfficialWaje using her power #VOICE to entertain the mammoth youth who turned up for the ongoing #YouthVoteCount2 in Lagos.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Omawumi also thrilled the crowd as she performed her popular hit track, \u201cIf You Ask Me\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cNa who you go ask if you no register to VOTE. @Omawumi using her strong VOICE to encourage the Mammoth Youth to get registered to VOTE at the ongoing #YouthVoteCount2 in Lagos,\u201d INEC wrote on its official page.<\/span><\/p>\n Pictures also revealed that the youths defied the rain to attend the star-studded event.<\/span><\/p>\n Some celebrities who attended the event include Falz, Mr Macaroni, Real Warri Pikin, Broda Shaggi, MI Abaga, and a plethora of many others.<\/span><\/p>\n The Chairman of INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu; Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Olusegun Agbaje; and other members of the commission were present at the concert.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Nigerian female singers, Omawumi and Waje, joined other celebrities to thrill fans at a political concert held in Lagos on Saturday.
