About 24 hours after the victory of Bola Tinubu at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been silent.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST observed that Osinbajo has not issued any congratulatory message to Tinubu on his emergence as the APC presidential candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n Tinubu had floored presidential aspirant\u2019s like Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi and Dave Umahi, who were front runners ahead of the polls.<\/span><\/p>\n The former Lagos State Governor garnered 1,271 to defeat his closest rival, Amaechi, who polled 316.<\/span><\/p>\n The Vice President came third with 235 votes.<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to the APC Special Convention, Osinbajo was accused of betrayal by opting to contest for the Presidency alongside Tinubu.<\/span><\/p>\n Osinbajo was one of the politicans believed to have been tutored by Tinubu. The Vice President was Tinubu\u2019s Attorney General while he was the governor of Lagos State.<\/span><\/p>\n Amid controversial stories, Tinubu had claimed he suggested Osinbajo\u2019s name to President Muhammadu Buhari as his deputy in 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n Tinubu said he gave Osinbajo his slot to be Nigeria\u2019s Vice President.<\/span><\/p>\n However, Tinubu, while giving his acceptance speech at the Eagles Square in Abuja, extended an olive brand to all aspirants.<\/span><\/p>\n The APC presidential candidate said he bears no grudge against anybody.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" About 24 hours after the victory of Bola Tinubu at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been silent.
