The Presidential candidate of the People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar today met with the party\u2019s Governors\u2019 Forum in Abuja in order to fashion out ways in which the party will prosecute the forthcoming general elections next year.<\/p>\n
After the meeting, the former Vice President described the enthusiasm of the Governors towards winning the forthcoming elections and the subsequent task of reconstructing the country as \u201coverwhelming.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n This is as the Chairman of the Governors\u2019 Forum, Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state reaffirmed that the \u201cconsultative meeting\u2019 was \u201con matters concerning the way forward.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n According to Alhaji Abubakar, \u201cmy meeting with the PDP-Governors\u2019 Forum today gives delightful assurance that the fabric of unity in our party continues to be strengthened. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe energy to work together to win the general election and start the work of rebuilding the country is overwhelming,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking to journalists after meeting, Gov. Tambuwal explained that: \u201cwe talked about cooperation and collaboration in prosecuting a very successful electioneering campaign that will result into victories for the PDP at various elections from the state Houses of Assembly, national election, Governorship and the Presidential election come February, 2023.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Without elaborating on the matter, Gov.
