{"id":7984,"date":"2022-05-11T08:12:24","date_gmt":"2022-05-11T08:12:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=7984"},"modified":"2022-05-11T08:12:24","modified_gmt":"2022-05-11T08:12:24","slug":"sun-award-endorsement-of-sanwo-olus-2nd-term-bid-olokoba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=7984","title":{"rendered":"Sun Award, Endorsement Of Sanwo-Olu\u2019s 2nd Term Bid \u2013Olokoba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Right actoivist and Public Commentator, Comrade Razaq Olokoba has described the Award bestowed on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu by a frontline newspaper, The Sun Publishing Company as an endorsement of the governor\u2019s second term in office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Olokoba in a chat with newsmen in Lagos Wednesday expressed tha belief that that media outfif must have been keeping taps on his performance since 2019 before coming to the conclusion that he merits to be honoured as The Governor of the Year 2021 during their annual Award Ceremony in Lagos weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While describing the Award as befitting and appropriate, Olokoba, who is also the National President of the Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), however expressed the delights that The Sun Award has confirmed that other Awards bestowed on Sanwo-Olu both locally and internationally were not flukes at all, commending The Sun management for their thoughtfulness in doing the appropriate thing at the appropriate time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to him, several other Awards in the past like the Prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year Award, Vanguard Award among others are testimonies that good works are like the smoke that can never be concealed, saying the harder one tries to conceal it, the more it escapes to the atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The youthful activist and public analyst therefore expressed the need for the people of Lagos State to keep supporting the governor and encouraging him to do more just as he congratulated the governor and his able team on this prestigious Award, saying its heart-warming, praise-worthy and a cause for celebration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Olokoba further expressed the conviction that, the Award would be seen by the governor as a clarion call to do more since human beings are naturally created as the proverbial Oliver Twist who would always ask for more, believing that Sanwo-Olu would always be equal to the task as usual.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to him, the view of the awarding institution that Sanwo-Olu\u2019s nomination for the prize followed his commitment to \u201cregenerate the Lagos landscape and scale up public infrastructure to address evolving challenges observed in the socio-economic environment, especially in the transportation sector,\u201d could not be faulted, saying, \u201cSanwo-Olu\u2019s trade mark is transformational agenda as encapsulated in his THEMES agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Against this background, the CDG boss noted that, \u201cnothing promotes any administrator\u2019s image than excellent performance in his\/her position of authority,\u201d enthusing that, \u201cwith this latest Award at this point in time, Sanwo-Olu\u2019s second term in office appears a forgone conclusion.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Right actoivist and Public Commentator, Comrade Razaq Olokoba has described the Award bestowed on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu by a frontline newspaper, The Sun Publishing Company as an endorsement of the governor\u2019s second term in office.
