{"id":7845,"date":"2022-05-07T22:18:52","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T22:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=7845"},"modified":"2022-05-07T22:18:52","modified_gmt":"2022-05-07T22:18:52","slug":"ik-osakioduwa-hosts-2022-amvca-opening-gala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=7845","title":{"rendered":"IK Osakioduwa Hosts 2022 AMVCA Opening Gala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Popular Nigerian media personality, IK Osakioduwa, is the host for the Africa<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Magic Viewers Choice Awards opening night gala, currently ongoing on Saturday night.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The opening gala formally flags off the series of eight-day activities preceding the award night slated for Saturday, May 14, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">IK Osakioduwa has hosted the show in previous editions and will later be joined by South Africa\u2019s Bonang Matheba, who will be making her hosting debut at the AMVCAs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This was announced on the official site of the organisers of the show, Africa Magic, and a timeline of activities are also being shared across their social media pages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The ongoing AMVCA opening night has celebrities like <a href=\"https:\/\/punchng.com\/pictorial-bimbo-ademoye-osas-ighodaro-others-dazzle-at-amvca-opening-gala\/?amp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bimbo Ademoye and Osas Ighodaro showing up in style<\/a>at the red carpet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This year\u2019s edition of the awards ceremony is held for eight days as opposed to the one-day event that had been held in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice Nigeria, Busola Tejumola, stated that this year\u2019s edition of the AMVCAs is focused on shining the light on the many aspects that make up the African film and television industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Also scheduled for the week are curated events such as the \u2018AMVCA Runway Show\u2019 on Sunday; Young Filmmakers\u2019 Day, featuring movie screenings and panel discussions by students of the MultiChoice Talent Factory academy, on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This will be followed by the Africa Magic Content Market Workshop on Tuesday, and Digital Content Creator\u2019s Brunch on Wednesday.
