{"id":7346,"date":"2022-04-23T08:02:15","date_gmt":"2022-04-23T08:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=7346"},"modified":"2022-04-23T08:02:15","modified_gmt":"2022-04-23T08:02:15","slug":"dubai-sexual-acts-lagos-govt-reopens-chrisland-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=7346","title":{"rendered":"Dubai Sexual Acts: Lagos Govt Reopens Chrisland Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">The Lagos State Government has ordered the reopening of all Chrisland Schools shut down over controversies that surrounded an immoral act engaged in by some students of the school.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This was contained in a press statement by the Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, made available to The PUNCH early Saturday morning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The PUNCH had reported that the state government had <a href=\"https:\/\/punchng.com\/breaking-lagos-govt-shuts-down-chrisland-schools\/?amp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">shut down all Chrisland Schools <\/a>in Lagos State on April 18, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Some pupils from the elite private school located in Victoria Garden City embarked on a trip to Dubai to participate in the World School Games between March 10 and 13, 2022 when the immoral act happened.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Following the incident, the school authorities suspended a female student indefinitely, stating that she was \u201ca major actor\u201d in an \u201cimmoral act\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The government said the school\u2019s Parent Teachers Association would be working on scheduled psychosocial support for the students involved in the immoral act.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The statement read, \u201cThe Lagos State Ministry of Education has directed that all Chrisland Schools shut for alleged misconduct of some students in Dubai be reopened from Monday, April 25th, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe directive follows a review of the ongoing administrative investigation into the incident. Besides, it is to ensure that students are not denied access to learning when the new term begins on Monday 25th April 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe State Government shut the schools for the safety of students and the staff and to ensure unhindered investigation of the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe Ministry of Education and other relevant agencies of the State, in conjunction with the school\u2019s Parent Teachers Association, will be working on scheduled psychosocial support for the students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAn extensive assessment of the school\u2019s procedure, especially on external trips and excursions, is being made to identify safety gaps and prevent such incidents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cBesides, the Ministry will launch the reviewed guidelines\/protocols governing private and public schools across the state within the next one month.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lagos State Government has ordered the reopening of all Chrisland Schools shut down over controversies that surrounded an immoral act engaged in by some students of the school.
