{"id":7293,"date":"2022-04-22T09:21:20","date_gmt":"2022-04-22T09:21:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=7293"},"modified":"2022-04-22T09:21:21","modified_gmt":"2022-04-22T09:21:21","slug":"black-friday-scores-feared-killed-houses-burnt-in-early-morning-tanker-explosion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=7293","title":{"rendered":"Black Friday: Scores Feared Killed, Houses Burnt In Early Morning Tanker Explosion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Tragedy occurred early Friday morning at Ajegunle Bus-Stop, Alagbado, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway as tanker loaded with petrol crashed and exploded killing scores of fuel scoopers in the process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The sad incident happened around 3am.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It was gathered that several houses, among other properties were burnt in the inferno, as men of the state fire service and the police were deployed in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">An eyewitness said no one could tell the number of casualties as at the time of filling this report.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe cannot tell the number of those that died. The police and fire service have been working and trying to put out the fire.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A trader with a shop in the area said some residents who attempted to scoop fuel were killed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI have a shop here. I was called that the fire started around 3am, but by the time I got here, my shop had been razed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWhen the fuel started pouring down the canal, some people tried to scoop fuel.
