Young Progressives Party\u2019s 35-Year-old candidate, Ademola Adeseye, will slug it out with the incumbent governor Adegboyega Oyetola, 67, and 13 others in the July 16 Osun State governorship election.<\/p>\n
The medical doctor is the youngest candidate in the poll, while Oyetola is the oldest.<\/span><\/p>\n Peoples Redemption Party is fielding the second youngest candidate in 38-year-old engineer, Ayowole Adedeji.<\/span><\/p>\n Allied Peoples Movement is also fielding 38-year-old Awoyemi Lukuman as candidate at the poll.<\/span><\/p>\n The YPP flag bearer is going into the election with a 60-year-old woman, Stella Adeagbo, as his running mate.<\/span><\/p>\n Mukaila Adesoye, 66, who is the running mate to 58-year-old Oyegoke Omigbodun of the Social Democratic Party, is the oldest deputy governorship candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n Peoples Democratic Party\u2019s candidate Ademola Adeleke, is 61 years, while his running mate, Adegboyega Adewusi, is 62.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the Independent National Electoral Commission\u2019s chart, 15 parties will field candidates in the poll.<\/span><\/p>\n None of the parties has a woman as the candidate, but six of them have women as running mates to male candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n No party is also fielding a candidate living with disabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Young Progressives Party\u2019s 35-Year-old candidate, Ademola Adeseye, will slug it out with the incumbent governor Adegboyega Oyetola, 67, and 13 others in the July 16 Osun State governorship election.
