A pro-labour Non-Governmental Organization, Labour & Workers Welfare Advocacy Centre, has hinted that Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), would soon start to receive visitors, who could be better described as Patriotic Invaders.<\/p>\n
Leader of the NGO, Comrade Omobanke Razak, in a media chat in Badagry Wednesday evening said the objective of the organization is about the delay of the Minister to declare presidential ambition against 2023, saying, \u201cour patience is thinning out because the time is going and we are not comfortable anymore.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n When reminded that, nobody can force anybody to contest against his wish, Omobanke said, in democracy, it is permitted for the citizenry the right to voice out and be listened to, saying, \u201cwhat we are talking about here is patriotism, meaning desiring the best for one\u2019s country and his people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking further, the youthful activist who explained that, \u201cwe are more interested in Fashola\u2019s presidency perhaps more than anybody else because of its value to the Labour Body and the generality of the Nigerian workforce,\u201d disclosed that, \u201cthe volume of jobs that his two ministries dished out to the public as a minister makes us believe that, as a president, he will do more.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n According to him, sensitisation is going on across the country to let the people now the benefits they will enjoy under Fashola\u2019s presidency so they can see the need to put all hands on deck to ensure this performer of a person joins the race for president next year.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt is a patriotic call on him to serve the people. it is not a selfish venture. And we harbour the belief that, Fashola would harken to the patriotic call to serve his people on a higher level. We believe he can do it because he has done it before as governor and still doing it as minister.
