Yahoo Boy Jailed For Impersonating James Bond Actor, Daniel Craig"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Irabor Osarumwense, an <\/span><span class=\"s2\">internet fraudster who pretended online to be James Bond actor, <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Daniel Craig<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, has been jailed in Edo State, Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Osarumwense <\/span><span class=\"s2\">was convicted at the Federal High Court, Benin City on a one count charge bordering on impersonation and obtaining by false pretence on Thursday, October 21, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/2797EE52-D212-468B-B7CE-3949E586CEB1.webp\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5669\" src=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/2797EE52-D212-468B-B7CE-3949E586CEB1-256x300.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"256\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/2797EE52-D212-468B-B7CE-3949E586CEB1-256x300.webp 256w, https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/2797EE52-D212-468B-B7CE-3949E586CEB1.webp 396w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 256px) 100vw, 256px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The convict fraudulently impersonated Craig&#8217;s identity to defraud unsuspecting victims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) told the court his actions violated the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc) Act, 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">He pleaded guilty when the charge was read to him and he was sentenced to two years in prison or a fine of N200,000 by <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Justice S. M. Shuaibu<\/span><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The judge also ordered the forfeiture of the convict&#8217;s phone to the Federal Government.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">He was also asked to sign a written undertaking to be of good behaviour following his conviction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Justice Shuaibu had earlier this week convicted another internet fraudster, <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Oshodi Ufo<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, who pretended to be Hollywood actor, <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Brad Pitt<\/span><span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Ufo and Osarumwense were arrested together, alongside nine other suspects, in Benin City in March.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Irabor Osarumwense, an internet fraudster who pretended online to be James Bond actor, Daniel Craig, has been jailed in Edo State, Nigeria.
