Ghana women\u2019s national team head coach, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo said her side showed more intelligence than Nigeria in Wednesday\u2019s 2-0 defeat to the Africans champions.<\/p>\n
Nigeria\u2019s Uchenna Kanu\u2019s first half double condemned the Black Queens to a first round, first leg loss to the Super Falcons in the Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.<\/span><\/p>\n Tagoe-Quarcoo heaped praise on her side and expressed confidence they can make the best of the second leg meeting at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, October 24.<\/span><\/p>\n Her words,\u201dSo far so good, I think we played well, tactically we were very disciplined, and we came to play football,\u201d Tagoe-Quarcoo said.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately, the Nigerians were stronger and tougher than we were, but when it comes to intelligence, we were far way ahead of them.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen you are playing an away game, it\u2019s not easy, so we are going back to correct our mistakes.
