Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, has revealed plans to launch a new social media platform, called \u2018TRUTH Social\u2019.<\/p>\n

This was made known in a statement on Wednesday by the Trump Media and Technology Group, a newly established company which is planning a merger with the Digital World Acquisition Corporation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The statement, which also announced the establishment of TMTG, stated that the mission of the group \u201cis to create a rival to the liberal media consortium and fight back against the \u2018Big Tech\u2019 companies of Silicon Valley, which have used their unilateral power to silence opposing voices in America.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump, who is the Chairman of the group, said in the statement, \u201cI created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I\u2019m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new social platform is currently available for pre-order in the Apple App store. <\/span><\/p>\n
