Minister of State, Labour &amp; Employment, Festus Kayamo, had allegedly gone ahead to negotiate with the National Chairman of SDP in a bid<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>to secure the Party&#8217;s Ticket for his preferred candidate, MC Paul Emumena Michael.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Kayamo allegedly vowed that he will do everything within his powers to secure victory for the SDP candidate, pleaded with the SDP National Chairman to negotiate with other Opposition Political Parties through their National headquarters to secure their forms and support SDP and his Candidate MC Paul Michael In achieving a common goal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When reporters contacted one of the APC Leaders in the state( name withheld) who spoke in confidence allegedly confirmed in a telephone conversation saying: &#8220;Fine! from your question you may not be far from the truth. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe all know that MC Paul is a good and popular candidate who can beat any other party in Isoko South 1 including anybody that PDP is bringing as a Candidate but for me it&#8217;s quite a pity and unfortunate with the recent development in Isoko South 1 By-election.&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This shows<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>that APC Delta State maybe heading towards electoral doom, he posited. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He was alleged to have further stated that they made efforts to stop the MC Paul from going to SDP but it seems his hand are tied. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He further revealed that the Minister is not alone in this as they gathered that it was a gang up with the likes of Victor Ochei and Great Ogboru to disgrace the DSP Omoagege.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">At the time of filing this report, all efforts to reach Festus Kayamo, the candidate of SDP and even DSP Omoagege proved abortive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There are several unconfirmed reports of serious rumbles within the APC and Deltans are left to wonder what exactly is amiss. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Meanwhile, the byelection is running the political temperature of Delta State so high at the moment as the political bigwigs in the state consider it a test run for the 2023 governorship election.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ahead of September 11th Isoko South 1 By-election in Delta State it appears that APC\u00a0 Delta State are yet to learn their lessons as some of their Leaders have opted to support a different Candidate in one of the Opposition Political Parties in the State.
