A non-governmental organization (NGO), Labour & Workers Welfare Advocacy Centre, has thrown its weight behind President Muhammadu Buhari on his insatiable lust for infrastructure development across the country, expressing the delights that, \u201chis effort towards that has been yielding economic growth as dividends of democracy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Comrade Omobanke Razak, leader of the NGO told our correspondent in a casual discussion Tuesday in Badagry that, anybody that says that the President\u2019s efforts on infrastructure development are not yielding economic benefits is not saying the reality.<\/span><\/p>\n

When informed about the remarks of the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, that Buhari\u2019s infrastructure upliftment could not grow the economy, Omolabake said, \u201cwith due respect to the former Governor, I beg to disagree with him,\u201d insisting that, \u201cinfrastructure development, across the world, is an undeniable vital ingredient for economic advancement.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking further, the NGO boss said, as important as haulage business is to the economy of any society, if roads are bad, the intended benefit disires would be jeopardised, pointing out that, \u201csince several roads across the country are now being given a face lift, goods and services are getting to the end users unhindered.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He also thankek President Buhari for his foresight in appointing a workaholic performer like him, in person of Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), to handle infrastructural projects in the country, asserting that, \u201cBuhari\u2019s love for infrastructure development as a vehicle to drive economy is a welcome initiative that is yielding positive results economically, politically and socially.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, all edifices like housing units, hospitals, schools, ports and goo road network springing across all the six geo-political zones of the country on daily basis are welcome development from Buhari administration assuring that, \u201cthe good people of the country are highly appreciative of the administration\u2019s lust for their welfare.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The youthful activist wonder why anybody could criticise good work an administration is doing and not complaining about supposed good things it is not doing. Saying, \u201cit is an ironical phenomenon for people who should know better and guide people\u2019s psyche correctly turning round misleading their thoughts!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Concluding, Omobanke therefore urged Nigerians to embark on attitude that would continue to encourage the President to forge ahead in his onerous task of infrastructure because it moves the economy forward just as he stressed the need for more support for the Minister, Fashola, declaring that his role and duty in Buhari\u2019s administration is commendable and being appreciated.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
