Engaging them gainfully will reduce the temptation to join bad gangs and plunge the country deeper into lawlessness,” the NGO submitted saying, “the minimum of 270, 000 jobs awaiting the youth when the Bill is passed and the NATFORCE commences operation is a thing of joy.”

Against this background, the NGO therefore begged President Muhammadu Buhari to provide more jobs to the teeming youth of the country just as it also urged the National Assembly for quick passage of the Bill that can assist in job opportunities for the youth and prevention of security challenges, especially importation of Arms and Ammunition into the country.

The appeal for quick passage of the NATFORCE Bill, the press release said, “If the Bill is passed and the NATFORCE commences operation, it would serve two purposes of fighting security challenges and provision of jobs for the youth that could be lured into crime due to their joblessness.”

The NGO therefore commended the initiator of the security outfit, Dr Baba Mohammed for taking the steps towards seeking legislative endorsement for the outfit by sending a Bill to the National Assembly, expressing enthusiasm that, the Bill that has scaled the first and the second reading would eventually scale through the last reading to become a law.

Recently, a retired Deputy Controller General (DCG) of the Civil Defence Corps Alhaji Aminu Kofar Soro, has explained that, only legislative endorsement can allowed the NATFORCE the opportunity to operate like a legal security outfit to achieve its goals of securing the country and providing jobs for the teeming youth of the idle youth of the country, who are prone to acts of criminality due to idleness.

According to him, the dual goals of assisting President Muhammadu Buhari to fight security challenges and his desire to provide gainful employment for the people of Nigeria could be jeopardised if the organization fails to secure legal approval from the Legislative Houses-the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Soro further stated that, NATFORCE is out to really assist President Muhammadu Buhari in his fight against all forms of security challenges and his desire to make jobs available to the teeming youth of Nigeria, asserting that, the benefits accruable to the country from the organization are very significant and indeed enormous.”

An all women Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Mothers for Youth Welfare Forum (MYWF) has appealed to
