It is said that it is a 7-Storey edifice and a 150 bed capacity General Hospital. The Greater Lagos Vision of Sanwo-Olu is taking shape by every passing day, meaning he is walking his talk,” the activist marvelled.

Speaking further, the highly impressed NGO boss observed that, the project would have a multiplier effect on the people in term of job creation and development of more infrastructure like roads and other amenities within the area and beyond, stressing the need to give the governor maximum support as appreciation for the good job being done.

In addition, Ekundayo said the children hospital has also convinced the people that Sanwo-Olu truly has the welfare of the youth at heart because the youth take their origins from childhood, reminding that, “this type of preparation saved the state and the whole country from the jaws of the dreaded COVID-19 that ravaged the whole world.”

While praising the people of the state for the support they give Sanwo-Olu’s administration, he also hailed the governor for appreciating them when he said, “we are honoured by the trust reposed in us and we will continue to seek new opportunities to respond to the infrastructure needs of Lagosians.”

The activist therefore urged the residents of the areas where the project is springing up to bear with the governor and cooperate with site workers as some of their properties and daily economic activities would be affected, reminding them of the economic benefits of the projects when finally complete.

He agreed with the governor that two factors are involved, “the economic importance of these roads and the high level of traffic they convey while the second factor is the complementary value these roads will add to the New Massey Children’s Hospital as well as improvement on road connectivity that would unlock the perennial traffic gridlock in this area.

The resultant effect according to him, would be reduction in travel time, elimination of the perennial flooding often experienced in the affected area, enhancement of property values and improvement in business and economic activities on the Lagos Island.

A Pro-Lagos indigenous group, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Egbe Omoluabi Eko, has examined the project of the largest children hospital in Lagos State and exclaimed that, “Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is on the move again.” Convener of the NGO, Comrade Ekundayo Ibrahim, in a chat with our correspondent in Badagry Friday morning was full of […]

[4

post-4493","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-metro
