The Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) has called on Nigerians of all faiths to embrace peace, love, tolerance and peaceful coexistence as Muslims commemorate Maulud Nabiyy 2026.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its Executive Director, Gbenga Soloki, the organisation said the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) teaches compassion, unity and respect for humanity, stressing that these values are needed in Nigeria now more than ever.<\/p>\n
Soloki said, \u201cAs we celebrate Maulud Nabiyy 2026, we call on all Nigerians, Muslims and Christians alike, to live together in peace and harmony. A peaceful Nigeria will guarantee prosperity for all. Let this season remind us that we are stronger together.\u201d<\/p>\n
CAIDOV urged Nigerians to shun violence, religious intolerance and other acts capable of causing disunity, while calling on religious leaders to use their platforms to promote peace, forgiveness and mutual understanding.<\/p>\n
The organisation also appealed to the government and security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property throughout the celebrations.<\/p>\n
It further admonished Nigerian youths to reject hate speech and become ambassadors of peace in their communities.<\/p>\n
CAIDOV reaffirmed its commitment to promoting human rights, justice and non-violence across Nigeria, expressing hope that the spirit of Maulud Nabiyy would bring peace to every home and nation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
