{"id":26477,"date":"2026-05-01T18:35:04","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T18:35:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=26477"},"modified":"2026-05-01T18:35:31","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T18:35:31","slug":"lagos-2027-sma-pushes-for-equity-promises-people-focused-governance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=26477","title":{"rendered":"Lagos 2027: SMA Gold Pushes for Equity, Promises People-Focused Governance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, has declared that his bid for the state\u2019s top seat is driven by a desire to serve, rather than personal ambition, with a strong focus on advancing the interests of Badagry and other underserved areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Speaking during a live appearance on <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Gbagede Oro Special Edition<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> on Rainbow 94.1 FM, Ajose outlined his vision for a government that prioritises inclusivity and grassroots impact, stressing that no community would be sidelined under his leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">While addressing internal party dynamics, Ajose stated that he holds no grievances against the Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Hamzat, but maintained that fairness demands that all aspirants be duly engaged before any endorsement is made by party leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">He expressed concern over what he described as mixed signals from some APC elders, noting that individuals who had initially encouraged his ambition later threw their weight behind another candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Despite the developments, Ajose reaffirmed his commitment to the democratic process, pledging to accept the outcome of a credible and transparent primary election conducted in accordance with the Electoral Act 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The businessman-turned-politician also highlighted his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asserting that his pledge to mobilise 3.5 million votes for the President\u2019s re-election remains firm.
