The Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) has congratulated Tunji Disu on his appointment as the 23rd indigenous Inspector General of Police.<\/p>\n
In a congratulatory letter signed by its Executive Director, Gbenga Soloki, the organisation described Disu\u2019s elevation as well deserved, noting that his appointment did not come as a surprise given his people-oriented style of policing.<\/p>\n
Soloki stated that the staff, management and Board of Trustees of CAIDOV were delighted with the appointment of the security expert, who was elevated from Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon, Lagos, to the office of Inspector General of Police.<\/p>\n
According to the organisation, Disu has distinguished himself as a professional officer known for his humane and pro-people approach to policing.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are one of the few senior police officers who serve as a pillar of public trust in the security and rule of law protection institution,\u201d the letter stated.<\/p>\n
The group also expressed confidence in the new police chief\u2019s ability to lead the Nigeria Police Force effectively and contribute to strengthening security and justice in the country.<\/p>\n
