{"id":26092,"date":"2026-03-03T15:50:38","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T15:50:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=26092"},"modified":"2026-03-03T15:52:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T15:52:13","slug":"sanwo-olu-rallies-lagos-apc-for-tinubus-2027-re-election-as-ojelabi-retains-chairmanship-at-state-congress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=26092","title":{"rendered":"Sanwo-Olu Rallies Lagos APC for Tinubu\u2019s 2027 Re-Election as Ojelabi Retains Chairmanship at State Congress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Lagos State Governor, <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Babajide Sanwo-Olu<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, has charged members of the ruling <\/span><span class=\"s3\">All Progressives Congress<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> (APC) in the state to work tirelessly to ensure the re-election of <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Bola Ahmed Tinubu<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> in the 2027 general elections, as well as the victory of all candidates contesting on the party\u2019s platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">He also commended the President for his leadership role, which he said has kept the party united, focused, and stronger in Lagos State, while acknowledging the success of the ongoing reforms initiated by the President.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Governor Sanwo-Olu, who was flanked by his deputy, <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Kadri Obafemi Hamzat<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, Chief of Staff <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Tayo Ayinde<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, and other members of the state executive council, gave the charge during the 2026 State Congress of the APC held at <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Mobolaji Johnson Arena<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, Onikan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">More than 2,000 delegates from the three senatorial districts in the state attended the congress and returned <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Cornelius Ojelabi<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> in an affirmative vote as chairman of the 37-member state executive committee of the party.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The governor noted that the congress demonstrated that the party remains supreme in the state and thanked the leadership of the party for sustaining its momentum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">He also appreciated the National Chairman of the party for sending a formidable team to Lagos State to oversee the conduct of the exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Earlier, the Chairman of the State Congress Committee, <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Stella Okotete<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, said it was an honour to lead the vibrant team saddled with the responsibility of conducting the important congress to elect leaders who will steer the affairs of the party for another term.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">She noted that Lagos remains strategic and important to the future of the party, being the political base of President Tinubu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">According to her, Lagos is also critical due to its large number of registered voters, which will play a vital role in the party\u2019s victory in the 2027 general elections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Hon.
