A prominent Ogun Central senatorial aspirant, Otunba Muraina Olatunji Banjoko, popularly known as THREECO, has called on residents of Ogun Central and Nigerians in general to embrace compassion, charity and sustained acts of kindness during and beyond the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
In a message released to mark the ongoing Ramadan season, Banjoko described the period as more than abstinence from food and drink, stressing that it represents a sacred time for self purification, empathy and a renewed commitment to helping the less privileged.<\/span><\/p>\n According to him, Ramadan serves as a period for deep reflection and moral discipline that should inspire individuals to support one another and promote unity within their communities.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cRamadan is a school of discipline and mercy. It teaches us to feel the hunger of the needy, to give without hesitation and to love without boundaries. Our communities can only flourish when we deliberately care for one another,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n The senatorial hopeful noted that the true essence of the holy month lies in lifting the burdens of others, supporting widows and orphans, empowering young people and encouraging peaceful coexistence among citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n He added that meaningful development can only thrive in an environment where compassion and responsible leadership are prioritised.<\/span><\/p>\n Banjoko also urged individuals, corporate organisations and community leaders to establish charitable initiatives that extend beyond seasonal giving, noting that consistent acts of generosity help to build stronger and more resilient communities.<\/span><\/p>\n He stated strongly that his aspiration to represent Ogun Central in the Senate is driven by people centred ideals aimed at promoting social welfare, economic empowerment and inclusive growth.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAs we seek divine mercy, let us also become agents of mercy.
