The baby, a girl, was born at exactly midnight to a 26 year old first time mother, Adakole Patience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The First Lady also celebrated Blessing Oragwu, who gave birth to triplets on December 29, 2025, two boys and a girl, after 13 years of marriage. Gifts were presented to the family in celebration of the joyful milestone. She further visited another newborn baby boy during the visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Speaking on the significance of the occasion, Senator Tinubu expressed gratitude to God for Nigerians who made it into the new year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cI welcomed the Baby of the Year, a girl, and then visited the triplets born last month. The mother waited for 13 years, which is wonderful, and another baby boy,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Reflecting on the symbolism of the birth, she added, \u201cYou know, in Yoruba land, they say when you have girls, they come with ease. So we believe that this year is going to be a great year for us as a nation, with peace in abundance and prosperity in abundance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The First Lady also expressed appreciation for life and resilience in the face of the challenges of the previous year. \u201cI\u2019m excited because last year was something else. All of us who made it into the New Year should be thankful. We thank God,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">She urged Nigerian women to step into the new year with faith, courage, and generosity, encouraging them to pursue their aspirations regardless of limitations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cNigerian women are blessed. We are blessed. Nigerian women are very hardworking. Whatever they feel God has laid in their hearts to do, they should do it. Never feel you do not have money to start a business. Start small, and you will be amazed,\u201d she advised.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Emphasising the importance of giving, Senator Tinubu described 2026 as a year of intentional generosity. \u201cIf you want money, you have to sow into the lives of the less privileged. Be generous.
