Abiodun Isola Ejigbadero.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Hon. Ejigbadero described the initiative as a practical demonstration of leadership that prioritises the welfare and everyday needs of the people.

According to him, governance must go beyond policy statements to deliver real and measurable benefits that directly touch lives.

“True leadership is best measured by the impact it makes on the daily lives of the people. In this spirit, we are proud to announce the commencement of our Free Healthcare Outreach, a two-day impactful programme designed to bring quality and accessible medical services closer to our residents,” the council boss stated.

He emphasised that the programme was conceived to address the growing health needs of residents, particularly those who may not be able to afford regular medical check-ups and basic healthcare services. The outreach offers free health screening and consultations, helping residents detect and manage health conditions early.

Hon. Ejigbadero stressed that good health remains the foundation of a productive society, noting that no community can record meaningful progress if its people are burdened by preventable or untreated illnesses.

“We firmly believe that health is not a privilege but a fundamental right. No society can truly thrive when its people are unwell. This outreach reflects our administration’s deep commitment to the wellbeing of our people and reinforces our people-focused approach to governance,” he said.

The council chairman further explained that the free healthcare outreach is a key highlight of activities lined up to commemorate the administration’s first 100 days in office, serving as a clear signal of its resolve to deliver purposeful leadership, compassionate governance, and visible development.

He assured residents that the health outreach would not be a one-off intervention, adding that the council is committed to sustaining programmes that improve living standards, strengthen public health, and promote inclusive development across Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA.

Residents who turned out for the exercise commended the council leadership for bringing healthcare closer to the grassroots, describing the initiative as timely and impactful, especially in the face of rising medical costs.

The exercise continues tomorrow, with medical personnel on ground to attend to residents and ensure that quality healthcare services reach as many people as possible within the council area.

The Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has commenced a two-day free healthcare screening exercise aimed at improving access to quality medical services for residents across the council area.

[3
8784,3727,11283
post-25629","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics","tag-abiodun-ejigbadero","tag-agbado-oke-odo-lcda","tag-free-health-screening
