She said the hostility was especially severe toward celebrities who expressed political opinions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The actress recalled a particularly upsetting episode involving veteran actress <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Joke Silva<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, who, she said, was subjected to relentless and deeply offensive attacks. That incident, Akintola explained, pushed her to openly declare her support for Tinubu as an act of defiance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">According to her, every citizen has a right to personal conviction without intimidation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cPeople annoyed me. Nigerians annoyed me. Stop bullying others,\u201d she said. \u201cYou don\u2019t like a candidate? That\u2019s your choice.
