Having already secured wins over <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Rwanda (92-45)<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Mozambique (60-55)<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, and <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Cameroon (83-47)<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> in earlier rounds, the six-time champions came into the semis in red-hot form.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Despite a fast start by Senegal, coached by former D\u2019Tigress handler <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Otis Hughley<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, Nigeria wrestled control of the game, taking the first quarter <\/span><span class=\"s1\">22-17<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and narrowly edging the second <\/span><span class=\"s1\">21-20<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> to lead <\/span><span class=\"s1\">43-37<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> at halftime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The third quarter, however, saw Senegal fight back fiercely, outscoring Nigeria <\/span><span class=\"s1\">21-9<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> to take a <\/span><span class=\"s1\">58-52 lead<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> heading into the final quarter.
