President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigeria\u2019s Super Falcons to finish strong and bring home a historic 10th Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title as they face host nation Morocco in the final match of the 2024 tournament in Rabat tonight.<\/p>\n
In a rousing message from the State House, the President lauded the Falcons for their unbeaten run, outstanding performance, and exemplary sportsmanship, describing their journey as a source of national pride.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn behalf of a grateful nation, we are rooting for you and praying for your resounding success tonight, as you strive to achieve the crowning accomplishment of lifting a record tenth continental title,\u201d Tinubu said.<\/p>\n
He expressed admiration for the team\u2019s unity and compassion, especially their visit to South Africa\u2019s Gabriela Salgado following the semi-final, calling it \u201ca reflection of our shared humanity and sisterhood.\u201d<\/p>\n
President Tinubu also highlighted the Super Falcons\u2019 dominance in the tournament, noting their flawless group stage, solid knockout victories, and a defensive record that saw them concede only one goal en route to the final.<\/p>\n
To demonstrate national solidarity, the President has dispatched a delegation to Rabat, including the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite; Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim; and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, among others.<\/p>\n
