In our work with communities across Nigeria, we continue to witness heartbreaking cases of abuse, neglect, and trafficking. It must stop.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Heartminders Initiative has remained at the forefront of advocacy and public education on child welfare, social protection, and girl-child empowerment. On this year\u2019s Children\u2019s Day, the organization reiterates the following calls to action:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> \u2022 To Parents and Caregivers: Prioritize open communication with your children. Equip them with age-appropriate information about boundaries, safety, and how to seek help.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> \u2022 To Government and Law Enforcement: Strengthen child protection systems, enforce trafficking laws, and provide adequate support to victims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> \u2022 To Older Siblings and Community Members: Watch out for signs of abuse. Create a culture where children feel safe and heard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAs a nation, we must rise to protect our children.
