I fell into depression and turned to alcohol just to survive,\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> she admitted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">A Vicious Cycle of Abuse and Addiction<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The actress recounted how the physical and emotional torment led her into alcoholism, as she desperately sought an escape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI would sneak out to buy a bottle of brandy and drink in a corner just to feel numb. I didn\u2019t want to hear his words, I didn\u2019t want to feel the beatings\u2014it became a routine,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">At one point, Adesanya said she was so consumed by alcohol that she would visit pharmacies in the early hours just to get a drink before facing another day of abuse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">A Midnight Escape After a Prophetic Dream<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The turning point came when she had a recurring dream three times\u2014a vision that warned her to leave.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIn the dream, I saw a car moving backward, and people told me to leave it because it was my time for glory,\u201d she recalled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Determined to escape, Adesanya confided in her sister and seized an opportunity when her abuser went to the club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAt midnight, my sister Lara came.
