{"id":22115,"date":"2025-02-08T10:06:37","date_gmt":"2025-02-08T10:06:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=22115"},"modified":"2025-02-08T10:06:37","modified_gmt":"2025-02-08T10:06:37","slug":"ogun-government-slams-portable-for-assaulting-officials-calls-his-actions-indecent-and-unlawful","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=22115","title":{"rendered":"Ogun Government Slams Portable for Assaulting Officials, Calls His Actions Indecent and Unlawful"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">The Ogun State Government has strongly condemned the actions of Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, over his alleged attack on officials of the State Planning and Development Permit Authority.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">According to <\/span><span class=\"s3\">PUNCH Online<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, the officials were assaulted at his bar located around Iyana Ilogbo in the Sango Ota area of the state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">In a statement issued on Friday, the Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, described Portable as a \u201cserial dissident and unrepentant rascal\u201d who has repeatedly assaulted government officials without provocation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Akinmade denounced the attack led by Portable and his associates, calling it \u201cunacceptable and barbaric.\u201d He warned that such unruly behavior would not be tolerated and would be addressed in line with the laws of the land.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">He further expressed concern over the singer\u2019s disruptive behavior, stating that it has become disgraceful and unbearable for both the government and residents of the area, given the chaos he frequently causes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Akinmade reaffirmed the Abiodun-led administration\u2019s commitment to upholding law and order, emphasizing the government\u2019s dedication to maintaining the values of <\/span><span class=\"s3\">Omoluabi<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> (virtue and integrity) across the state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s3\">\u201cWe are deeply shocked by the uncivil and inappropriate actions of the singer Portable on Wednesday at Iyana Ilogbo, where his bar is located. The manner in which he and his associates attacked OGPDPA officials was not only disgraceful but also a clear sign of moral decay in those involved,\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> Akinmade stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Governor Dapo Abiodun, he added, has strongly condemned the incident, reaffirming his administration\u2019s commitment to justice and equality.
